Step 1
Check all electrical consumers (air conditioner, stove fan, radio, headlights, heated rear window), they must be turned off. As battery temperature affects battery performance, warm it up a little. To do this, turn on the headlights for half a minute, and the flowing current will heat the battery, thereby increasing its electrical output.
Step 2
Crank the engine slightly with the starter, but do not start immediately. This will keep the oil flowing after long periods of inactivity, and the engine will turn easier the next time. Try to start the engine. Be sure to depress the clutch pedal to make it easier to rotate the crankshaft. On a car with an automatic transmission, rotate the transmission.
Step 3
If the engine does not start, do not try again immediately. This is very important, as a break will allow the battery and starter to "rest" and the candles will not be flooded with gasoline, which can significantly aggravate the situation.
Step 4
Try to start again in 20 - 30 seconds. Do not step on the gas pedal, as the injection system will independently supply the required amount of the combustible mixture to the cylinders. If suddenly the engine does not start this time too, make a few more attempts at intervals of 30 seconds.
Step 5
In the event that on 5 - 7 attempts the motor still does not start, remove moisture from high-voltage wires using a special spray.
Step 6
If the battery is discharged, ask the other driver to light the cigarette with wires. By starting your car with the help of another, you will provide sufficient spark plug voltage and more intensive rotation of the engine starter for good sparking. Also keep the time gap between attempts.
Step 7
Try to start the engine on the move if lighting does not help. Agree with the driver of the car who will pull your car about an action that will signal that the engine has started (horn, headlights on).
Step 8
Do not engage first gear to start. Start the car in second or third gear. As soon as the engine starts, do not let it stall by supporting it by pressing the gas pedal. Simultaneously squeeze the clutch and disengage. And only after that, having given a signal, slow down.
