Death comes unexpectedly and can find a person far from home. And then it is necessary to transport the deceased in order to bury him on his own land, for which an appropriate package of documents will be required.
Types of transportation of the body of the deceased
Transportation of the body of the deceased or the so-called cargo-200 is regulated by law and can be carried out by air, rail or road. Transportation is possible both within Russia and from Russia abroad and vice versa.
Mandatory package of documents
Stamp death certificate. Such a document is issued at the registry office, where the fact of death is registered.
Non-nesting certificate. The body is transported in a special container with a zinc liner. To order it, you need to contact a funeral service that provides such services (not all provide them). The selected agency must seal the container and issue a certificate of non-investment to the customer. It is very important that the size of the container matches the requirements of the airline or rail company.
SES help. Only after the embalming procedure for up to ten days is the body suitable for transport. You can order embalming at the morgue, which, upon the provision of the service, will give you the appropriate certificate. With this paper, it is necessary to apply to the SES in order to obtain permission from this department.
Body transport
Automobile. The ritual car is capable of delivering the body directly to where the burial will take place. This is the simplest type of transportation, as it does not require additional documents. To order a hearse, it is enough to contact any ritual agency. As a rule, most of these services have such a service.
Airplane. Speed is the main advantage of this type of transport. However, it involves additional red tape with paperwork and an impressive ticket price for the compulsory accompanying cargo-200. A pre-ordered hearse must bring a container with the necessary package of documents and an accompanying person to check in the cargo to the airport 6-7 hours before departure. After registration by the airline administration, it will be placed in the cargo hold of the aircraft. The cost of such a service varies depending on the air carrier. Airport fees include terminal handling, invoicing and loading. The names of the consignee and the consignor are entered into the air waybill, the necessary documents are attached to it, after which the consignor must pay the check at the cash desk of the cargo terminal. To receive cargo-200, the person (consignee) indicated in the air waybill with a passport must arrive at the arrival cargo terminal, where, after identifying and paying airport taxes, he will be given a container.
A train. It is important to clarify whether a particular passenger train has a baggage car. If available, then the container must be handed over to the cargo railway terminal. Registration of cargo-200 for transportation by train is similar to that described above for air transportation.
