Instructions
Step 1
We determine the deterioration in the acceleration dynamics of the car according to our own observations.
Step 2
We establish the symptoms of such aggravation. If there are abnormalities in the operation of the engine - increased fuel consumption, or a drop in power, then it is necessary to check the operability of the oxygen sensors, which are responsible for the formation of the air-fuel mixture.
Step 3
We carry out a visual inspection of the power unit. On modern car models, there are at least two oxygen sensors. We check the connection of the wires by feeling the terminals on the sensor located on the intake manifold through the rubber boot.
Step 4
Similarly, we check the connection of the wires on the second oxygen sensor located in the area of the exhaust system.
Step 5
We check the condition of the oxygen sensors with the help of measuring equipment at the service station. Remember that they cannot be repaired. If the sensor does not correspond to the operating parameters, it should be replaced. There are no other options provided by the manufacturer.
