Necessary

  • - synthetic brush;
  • - liquid for flushing the radiator.

Instructions

Step 1

Carry out a preventive check of the radiator in the warm season, closer to autumn. Purchase a special flushing fluid in advance from an auto store. Do not forget to purchase a soft synthetic brush, it is with this brush that you need to clean the outside of the radiator.

Step 2

Clean the radiator surface with a dry brush. This can be done without disconnecting it from the machine. If you know not only how to disconnect the radiator, but also how to put it back in, then for convenience you can remove it from the hood.

Step 3

After thoroughly cleaning the radiator surface, proceed with the internal flushing. First, drain all liquid until it stops flowing from the hose. Then pour the purchased liquid for flushing the cooling systems into the radiator hole, cover with a lid and let it stand for 30-40 minutes. Then drain it and rinse the container under clean running water.

Step 4

If you did not remove the radiator, then fill in the liquid through the expansion tank, which is located under the hood. But you will have to rinse with a bucket or hose. Fill with water until a clean liquid without a rusty tint comes out of the radiator.

Step 5

You can try flushing the radiator with a Karcher or other high-pressure appliance that is used to wash your car. But be careful not to turn on too high a pressure. An automatic sink can be washed not only inside the radiator, but also outside.

Step 6

Fill with coolant, but do this only when all the water that was rinsed out has drained. Start the car, turn off a little and you can start operating the car.
