Instructions

Step 1

Understand the structure of the camshaft drive circuit. The main shaft parts include: crankshaft pulley, coolant pump toothed pulley, tensioner roller, drive rear cover, camshaft toothed pulley, toothed belt, adjusting antenna on the rear drive cover, mark on the camshaft pulley, mark on the oil cover pump, mark on the crankshaft pulley. All these parts must correspond to the required dimensions so that when they work together, there are no permanent breakdowns.

Step 2

Follow the installation sequence, as this plays an important role in the further operation of the vehicle. Consider every step you take. Do not be in a hurry, otherwise it may cost someone's life.

Step 3

To replace the toothed pulley, start by removing the alternator drive belt, unscrew the front cover bolts (side and top). Remove the cover and right wheel. Unscrew the screws of the plastic dust shield, remove the shield. Remove the rubber plug in the clutch crater. Rotate the idler roller so that the belt is loosened as much as possible.

Step 4

Pry the camshaft pulley with a screwdriver, remove it. Find the zero position, i.e. Align the keyways in the holes of the pulleys and fix the adjustment scale with the marks for reliability.

Step 5

After completing the installation work, proceed to the valve timing. To change them, loosen the six bolts securing the hub so that you can rotate the ring relative to the hub. Use the adjusting scale to check the angle of rotation. Tighten the pulley bolts and reinstall the front timing cover. Evaluate the results of engine adjustments while driving.
