Examine the doors carefully - the gap between the opening and the door should be the same. Open the doors and grasping its edge, lift and lower. The more the so-called loop play, the worse it is for the machine. Moreover, if all the doors behave in a similar way, then, most likely, the car was used as a taxi. Another evidence of the cruel use of the car is the heavily worn seats.
Step 6
Run your finger along the inside of the muffler pipe. If the mark left on the finger is ashy and completely dry, most likely the engine of this car is in good condition; if soot remains on the finger, which has a very thick and greasy consistency, reminiscent of tar, this indicates serious wear of the engine piston system.
Step 7
Make sure to tell you the real mileage of the car. To do this, pay attention to the odometer and make sure that all its numbers are located strictly on the same line. If the counter was twisted, one of the digits “freezes”. By the way, a large backlash in the door hinges will speak eloquently about the high mileage.
Step 8
When driving, make sure that the seat can be freely moved back and forth, the backrest reclines and locks in place. Check the operation of the power windows: the glass should not fall below the opening. Check pedal operation for binding and excessive bursting.
