Step 1
But for those who decided to expand their horizons in knowledge of the detailed design of a reversible seat belt, we suggest studying this device using the example of disassembling a belt designed to fix a passenger in the back seat.
Step 2
To remove the rear belt, proceed as follows:
- remove the back of the rear seat, - remove the plastic cover that covers the head of the belt mount bolt;
- using a 19 mm wrench, unscrew the belt fastening bolt, - remove the plastic strip installed on the upper belt anchorage,
- unscrew the bolt with a 19 mm wrench, - dismantle the rear shelf, - by unscrewing the reversing coil mounting bolt, remove it from its place;
- remove the seat belt from the passenger compartment.
Step 3
After placing the device on a workbench, disassemble the reversing coil, which can be of mechanical or vacuum design.
All of the above is permissible in relation to a seat belt that has lost its functionality. In relation to a serviceable belt, it is better not to do this.
The belt tightening mechanism is a complex design that requires careful adjustment. Any violation of the factory settings can lead to a tragic accident, do not forget about this.
