One of the criteria for a comfortable car ride is clean air in the cabin. To keep it clean, it is necessary to replace the cabin air filter in a timely manner.
It is necessary
- - socket wrench 13
- - a set of asterisk-type heads
- - new cabin filter
- - rags
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the connections for both wipers, the protective panels under the windshield and the bracket for attaching to the glass. Use a 13-point socket wrench.
Step 2
Unscrew the 5 self-tapping screws securing the panel that blocks access to the air filter.
Pull the panel down along the windshield. Remove these panels along with the plastic rail securing them to the windshield. Detach these panels and the guide. Flush the panels (especially the fasteners that go into the rail). Clean the plastic guide with a screwdriver with a rag wrapped around it.
Step 3
Remove the old filter. Empty the box containing the filter from debris. Unfasten the latch at the top of the basket and remove the old filter. Wipe dust off the box with a cloth. Place the new filter in the box (first put the lower part of the filter in the box, and then insert the upper part into the box) and click the latch.
Step 4
With a ratchet head and a small extension, unscrew the three 10 nuts that secure the gas pedal. Unscrew the three self-tapping screws that secure the filter cover. Take out the old filter and insert the new one, squeezing it with an accordion. Install everything you removed back.
