Parking lights are required to mark the car in the parking lot at night. Parking lights are dimmer than DRL lights. Even if you install powerful LEDs, the effect of brightness will be absent - the side light bulbs are not in focus of the headlamp reflector. The power of the LEDs will be low, even if they are in a separate section.

Necessary

  • - a new light bulb;
  • - tubular key.

Instructions

Step 1

First open the trunk and find the mount with the rubber pad. Unscrew the nuts with studs from the cover and remove the lamp unit. Then remove the casing fasteners and set it aside.

Step 2

De-energize the vehicle - disconnect the battery terminals. Then disconnect the pins of the board from the small chip with wires. Using a pipe wrench, unscrew the four nuts that hold the diffuser cover and the reflector itself. Do everything carefully and slowly, and be sure to remember the places and order of the parts.

Step 3

Release the lamp holder board from the clips slowly to avoid damaging or breaking them. As a rule, six latches hold such a board, which protect it from strong vibration during movement and operation of the motor.

Step 4

Remove the lamp board very carefully and carefully. From the lamp holder you need to get out exactly the lamp that has burned out or has been damaged. To do this, you need to use a screwdriver or manually release the light bulb from the plastic clips, which tightly press its contact to the board. Typically, only three clips are used on machines.

Step 5

Take a new light bulb and gently, slowly, put it in place of the old one, while be sure to secure it securely with clamps so that the contact is pressed very tightly. Then screw the necessary nuts back one by one and attach everything to the chip with wires.

Step 6

Then put on the protective cover and put the lamp unit back in place. Take your time to immediately attach the rubber gasket, first check if the light you supplied is on. If it is correctly installed and burns well, without blinking, then you can already finish working with the fasteners. If your front side lights do not light up, then you will need to first remove the battery, and then find the appropriate mounts and perform similar actions.
